In 2013 I was asked to help Altrincham Preparatory School update and modernise the tone and feel of the content on their website and print publications. The feeling was that although the school is modern, forward-thinking, successful and – importantly – very happy, that didn’t come across for prospective parents.
So I spent a lot of time at the school meeting with parents, teachers and the boys, and we decided to let the people who make the school such a fantastic place to be do the talking. The results are here.
After building up such a fruitful and positive relationship with the school, in September 2014 I took over their press and media work. This has involved working with the local press to make sure the school’s various achievements and initiatives are covered, but I’ve also driven the school’s social media strategy and ensured that the website itself gives the impression of a busy, thoughtful and happy school.
